Or are you simply another photographer?

There is an Antiques Store up in Waimea I’ve driven by often, and only recently stopped in to take a look within, though it seems to have been there for as long as I can remember. It is one of those re-purposed kind of places, once someone’s home, and newly celebrated in another way by a group of four friends who are themselves collectors more than successful sellers; it’s one of those places you suspect is more public storage than retail enterprise. From the street it looks very small, and it was, originally; it’s rooms can be accurately described as tiny, and you surmise the house was likely built by someone very short of resources who only included what was felt to be most necessary. But then you get to the back door of the kitchen, and find it opens up into a back porch where additional rooms were added in another L-shape of communal living opened to a sideyard. And now, as an antiques store, what these rooms contain is of an amazing abundance of old things.

I was very short of time the morning I stopped in, and raced through it vowing to return: these photos are from that first visit. When I did return however, it instantly became one of those experiences which simply could not rival my first-time impressions, and I did not snap a single shot, preferring to look back on these, and remember.
